We have developed a unique technology to back-up your data multiple times per day on multiple servers in multiple locations. We also use separate ISP's and backbones. This unique multi-redundancy technology has reduced the risk of losing your data to essentially zero.
- Multi-redundancy. Dental.PackOnline's unique multi-redundancy technology reduces the risk of losing data to virtually zero. By utilizing several servers at different locations, Dental.PackOnline maximizes the availability of your data and minimizes the possibility of service interruption. Our backup servers are always on standby in case any of our main servers were to fail. Multi-redundancy ensures that a physical problem at one location (e.g. loss of power, a fire) does not affect the availability of your data.
- Data backup. Dental.PackOnline servers are backed up multiple times a day at each server location using the latest backup technology. Backup tapes and CD-ROMs are kept in secure storage for a minimum of three years.
- Data backup service. Dental.PackOnline can ship you a complete copy of your entire database in a number of formats, from a printed copy to ASCII extract backups. This allows you to retain a copy of your data at a location of your choice.

- Secure server sites. Dental.PackOnline servers are hosted at multiple locations, all of which feature the following safeguards:
- 24 x 7 maintenance personnel onsite

- Backup power (including battery and diesel generators)

- Fire proof construction.
- Firewall protection. Dental.PackOnline servers are protected against intrusion firewalls. These firewalls ensure that only data intended for PackOnline servers is passed to our secure network.

About 95% of secure websites worldwide use VeriSign Secure Server IDs to authenticate themselves and to enable Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect sensitive online transactions and customer information such as dental, medical, legal, or insurance data. Being committed to our customers’ data security and privacy, we have installed the highest possible 128-bit encryption key from VeriSign on our website to protect against unauthorized access. Your data travels through the Internet in encrypted format using the SSL protocol, which makes data violation virtually impossible. - Virtual Private Network (VPN). A VPN is a private data network that makes use of the existing Internet infrastructure, maintaining security and privacy through the use of a tunneling protocol and other security procedures. A VPN enforces data encryption before sending it through the Internet. The data is decrypted only at the receiving end. Dental.PackOnline is in the process of building a VPN between our servers’ sites and our participating customer sites. This feature, in combination with other security measures, results in a fast, secured, and private network environment.
